Take a tour through the newly renovated interior of St. Lawrence Martyr Church. Interior renovations performed June-November 2019 in collaboration with St. Lawrence Martyr staff and Cuningham Group Architects. All mosaics in video are pre-renovation.

Artists Maria Szopinski and Lalo Garcia, have been commissioned to produce and restore artwork for the interior of St Lawrence Martyr. Maria is restoring the Bas Relief style statues. Bas Relief is a style in which the figures project slightly from the background (pictured below).

Lalo Garcia is doing several pieces that depict the “Communion of Saints” including, Mother Theresa, Mother Mary, St Lawrence Martyr, St. Kateri and more. These large scale portraits will be installed around the altar and predella. HABC recently visited Lalo Garcia in his studio and got a glimpse of the amazing progress. Stay tuned for final photos of this project.

HABC has started Church renovations at St Lawrence Martyr. This project will include structural renovations, lighting, and many interior finish upgrades. There will be some beautiful custom artwork features incorporated in this project by Lalo Garcia and Maria Szopinski that will highlight areas of the altar and reredos. Pictured below is the informal groundbreaking.

HABC recently completed a new exterior all-weather canopy at St James in Redondo Beach. New doors, hardware and an exterior lighting system complete the renovated entrance that will welcome parishioners into the Church.

Here are a couple of pictures from the parking lot paving happening at Sagrado Corazon. Phase II, consisting of exterior site work and parking lot paving, is nearly complete. The Parish will soon have a completely new facility and parking lot that will suit their busy Church life and community.
