Venice Japanese Community Center

This renovation and expansion project comprised 3,500 sq ft of new construction, major renovation to existing spaces, and fire protection upgrades to the existing gymnasium. To allow for the new construction, an existing classroom wing was demolished to accommodate a new martial arts studio, office space and new bathrooms. The new martial arts studio is now home to the Venice Japanese Kendo, Akido and Shodo programs. The renovated meeting space provides for Boy Scout meetings and senior nutrition program among other multi-purpose functions. Campus site improvements include landscaping, exterior lighting and surveillance, parking lot and ADA accessibility.
